Content Monitoring Policy
Effective date: September 1, 2026
Lovity is committed to keeping our community respectful and safe. This policy explains how we detect, review, and respond to profiles, photos, messages, and other content that may violate our Terms of Service or put another person at risk.
1. What we monitor
We may review content and activity submitted to or generated through the Service, including profile information, photos, chat messages, reports, account activity, and signals of spam, fraud, impersonation, harassment, or other abuse. Monitoring may use automated tools, human review, or both.
We use monitoring to enforce our rules and protect members. It does not mean that every message is read by a person, and automated systems can make mistakes.
2. How reports are handled
Members can report a profile or conduct from within the Service. Reports are prioritised based on potential harm, urgency, and the information available to us. We may ask for additional context, preserve relevant records, and contact the affected member when appropriate.
We do not disclose the identity of a reporter to the reported member except where required by law or necessary to address a serious safety issue. We may limit the action we can share because of privacy, legal, or investigative considerations.
3. Actions we may take
If we believe content or conduct violates our rules, we may remove or restrict content, limit account features, issue a warning, suspend or terminate an account, block an account from contacting others, or refer a matter to law enforcement or another appropriate authority. We may take immediate action when there is a risk of harm.
We may also preserve information and share it when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal request, protect a person from imminent harm, or protect Lovity and its members.
4. Prohibited content and conduct
Lovity does not permit content or conduct that is unlawful, threatening, hateful, harassing, exploitative, sexually explicit involving minors, non-consensual intimate content, deceptive for financial gain, or that infringes another person’s rights. Spam, scams, impersonation, doxxing, and attempts to evade enforcement are also prohibited.
We encourage members to report suspected child sexual exploitation, credible threats, non-consensual intimate imagery, and other urgent safety concerns immediately through the Service and, where appropriate, to local emergency services.
5. Appeals and corrections
If your content was removed or your account was restricted, you may contact us at safety@lovity.app with the relevant account details and an explanation. We will review appeals where appropriate and may restore content or access if the action was incorrect. Some decisions may not be appealable where legal or safety considerations prevent it.
6. Privacy and retention
We handle monitoring data, reports, and related records in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and the operation of the Service.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our safety practices, technology, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version on this page and, where required, notify members through the Service or by email.
